Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour star Danielle McEwan defeated England’s Stuart Williams to win the World Bowling Tour Thailand event in Bangkok on Friday.

McEwan earned just over $32,000 USD for the victory but will not be credited with a PBA Tour title because she accepted the eight pins handicap given to women in the event.

In the championship, Williams won the first game, 232-218, to force a second game against the top-seeded McEwan. In the decider, Williams stumbled down the stretch, while McEwan pulled away for a 225-179 victory.

A four-time winner on the PWBA Tour, McEwan is a seven-time Team USA member and one of the top stars on the PWBA Tour. She was second in points this season to PWBA Player of the Year Shannon O’Keefe.

In the semifinal, Williams rallied to defeat Malaysia’s Rafiq Ismail, 206-205, after knocking off Kyle Troup, 182-173, in the previous match.
