Walter Ray Williams Jr. will bowl for yet another spot in the PBA record books tonight at the 2019 PBA50 Mooresville Open.

Williams earned the top seed for the stepladder finals in Mooresville, North Carolina, for the stepladder finals, which begin at 7 p.m. Eastern live on FloBowling.

If he wins tonight, he would match John Handegard’s record for career PBA50 Tour titles with 14. Williams already owns the record for most titles on the PBA Tour with 47.

In the final round of match play, Williams went 4-2 and totaled 1,601 with bonus pins, an average of 246.83, to earn the top seed.

Williams has opened the season with back-to-back PBA50 victories at the Johnny Petraglia BVL Open and the PBA50 National Championship. Three straight wins would tie Williams with Tom Baker for second on the most consecutive wins list. Pete Weber holds the record with four.

PBA50 Tour rookie Danny Wiseman, who had not competed on the PBA50 Tour before this season, earned the No. 2 seed for the stepladder finals with a 4-2 record and 1,590 total.

The third seed went to Scott Greiner with 1,562, while Todd Kjell took the fourth seed with 1,532.

PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III snuck into the stepladder in the final game. Sitting in seventh place in the position round, Bohn shot 220 and won to finish with 1,515. The total was enough to put him ahead of Joel Carlson, won entered the position round in second, by two pins.
