A trio of lefties topped the leaderboard heading into tonight’s stepladder finals at the 2019 PBA50 Northern California Classic.

Mike Dias earned the top seed after posting a 5-1 record and 1,663 total for six games in the final round of match play at Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood, California. The stepladder finals will begin at 9:30 p.m. Eastern today live on FloBowling.

Parker Bohn III got the second seed with 1,651 after going 5-1 in matches, while Skip Pavone rounded out the left-handed trifecta with 1,635 and a 3-3 record.

Results: PBA50 Northern California Classic Match Play Round 2

Norm Duke was the highest right-hander and earned the fourth seed with a total of 1,590, while Bryan Goebel is the fifth seed with 1,565. Duke and Goebel will meet in the opening match.

This week’s PBA50 Tour event features more of a sprint to make the stepladder than some other events. All pins were dropped after qualifying and were dropped after every round on Tuesday, putting an emphasis on short sprints rather than a marathon.

Michael Haugen Jr., the 2018 PBA50 Player of the Year, missed the show by just 21 pins, finishing in sixth place with 1,544.

Walter Ray Williams Jr., who won the first three events of the PBA50 season and finished eighth in the fourth, added a seventh-place finish to his 2019 resume this week with 1,509.
