Final Four Set For Lubbock Stepladder Today
Stu Williams jumped from third to first in the position round to earn the top seed for the stepladder finals at the 2019 PBA Lubbock Sports Shootout.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Stu Williams jumped from third to first in the position round to earn the top seed for the stepladder finals at the 2019 PBA Lubbock Sports Shootout.
Williams will be joined on the show, which begins at 5:20 p.m. Eastern today, by Jakob Butturff, EJ Tackett and Anthony Lavery-Spahr at South Plains Lanes. The finals will be broadcast live on FloBowling.
In the position round game, Williams shot a 252 game to move ahead of both Butturff and Tackett and into the top spot.
Results: PBA Lubbock Sports Shootout Match Play
Williams finished match play with a 5-3 record and 5,157 total for 22 games. Butturff earned the second seed with 5,151, while Tackett was third with 5,131.
Kyle Troup entered the position round in the fourth position but shot 175 in his final game to give Lavery-Spahr a chance to jump into the show.
Lavery-Spahr needed nine, spare, strike in his final frame to move ahead of Troup and tossed a couple of clutch strikes. Lavery-Spahr finished with a 5,099 total, while Troup ended up fifth with 5,047.
