After announcing a few weeks ago that he had split with Radical, Tom Smallwood was introduced Wednesday as the newest member of the Motiv staff.

The face of the Brunswick-affiliated Radical brand for five years, Smallwood became a free agent but it turned out to be short lived.

“It’s just such a great fit,” Smallwood said in a release. “Every single person I’ve met from Motiv over the years has been a truly great person and I’m really happy to be a part of what they are doing. It means a lot to be associated with brands based in Michigan that still make their products in the state where I live. I have so many more options now and I just can’t wait for all of these shows to get started.”

A three-time PBA champion, Smallwood has two majors to his credit including his most recent win, the 2018 PBA Players Championship. He made a show earlier this year, finishing fifth at the PBA Indianapolis Open.

Smallwood, a two-time winner of the Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award, will compete in the PBA League for the Philadelphia Hitmen. The league gets underway Saturday with the seeding round live on FloBowling.
