5. EJ Tackett

Career Titles: 13 (2 majors)
Age: 28
2020 Earnings: $149,250 (rank: 5)
2020 Points: 19,965 (rank: 3)
2020 Peak Ranking: 2
2020 Low Ranking: 8

2020 Season

For the first time since 2014, Tackett went an entire season without winning a title. Still, he was third in PBA Tour points and fifth in earnings on the strength of six top-five performances in just 14 events. In majors, he was seventh in the Tournament of Champions, second in the Players Championship, third in the World Championship and 16th in the U.S. Open.

2021 Outlook

Tackett won’t go two straight years without a win. He’ll want vindication in the season-opening Players Championship, which he lost by a single pin to Bill O’Neill last year, and will be more motivated than ever after so many near misses in 2020. This season, Tackett will undoubtedly be on the list of Player of the Year candidates as he attempts to win the award for the second time in his career.
