Summer Tour recap

O’Neill put together an incredibly steady performance throughout the eight PBA Summer Tour events in which he competed.

Highlighted by a win at the PBA Chesapeake Open, O’Neill didn’t finish lower than 22nd during the stretch. He narrowly missed making a second summer show at the PBA Illinois Open, finishing in sixth.

Overall, O’Neill’s season has been one of the best of his career. He won the PBA Hall of Fame Classic to kick off 2019 and had the best showing of anyone at the PBA World Series of Bowling.

“It’s pretty close to my best season, if not the best,” O’Neill said. “With the way the environment is now and for me to be able to keep up with the guys who have a lot higher rev rate. I’ve put a lot of time into my game and just understanding more about where I need to play the lanes for myself to succeed.”
