Summer Tour recap

No one on the PBA Tour has been hotter in recent weeks than Rash and his perch atop the PBA Summer Tour points list is a prime example of the success he has had.

Rash made the show in four of the final six events of the summer season and picked up a victory at the PBA Wolf Open.

“I’m riding a high, a lot of confidence,” Rash said. “It’s nice to go out and compete and people think I’m a threat again whereas last year, being injured, people just took me for granted. And it’s nice to prove the haters wrong – the people who didn’t think I was working hard enough – and they know who they are. It’s nice to stick it to them.”

Rash also finished second at the PBA Wilmington Open and the PBA Bowlerstore Classic and closed out the summer season with a fourth-place finish at the PBA Illinois Open.

By virtue of his strong performance, and thanks in part to Jason Sterner defeating EJ Tackett to win the Illinois Open, Rash also earned a $20,000 bonus for leading the summer tour points as part of the USBC Cup competition.
