2019 Season

For the first time in his 20-year PBA Tour career, Allen won two titles – the Lubbock Sports Open and Cheetah Championship – in a single season. In addition to the wins, he had three more top 10s and earned the second most in prize money of his career and most since 2005.

2020 Outlook

Somehow, Allen has created a niche for himself as both a favorite and an underdog. “Watch out for Dick Allen,” everyone says as if he’s going to sneak up on the field despite the fact the field knows he’s going to be in the mix. Maybe it’s because he tends to finish in the top 10 or below 30^th and very rarely in between. Winning two titles again will be difficult for the overt sneaker, but he should create some opportunities for himself. Plus, he’ll be one of the top three picks in the PBA League draft, as he is every year. Again: he’s the underdog no one will protect and the favorite everyone wants to draft.
