It was a dream start to the season for Jones when he won the 2020 PBA Hall of Fame Classic by bowling 300 on the same weekend he was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame. But that feels like years ago at this point, doesn’t it?

Since then, the 2020 season hasn’t been quite as memorable for Jones. He made the show at the PBA Jonesboro Open and finished fifth but only finished within the Top 30 two more times the rest of the season.

Butturff, meanwhile, has made a few shows this season but hasn’t been able to win. He finished fourth at the recently concluded PBA Scorpion Championship and picked up a couple of fifth-place finishes at the HOF Classic and PBA Doubles Championship.

Who has the edge? This one’s tough. Jones only threw a few shots that mattered in the PBA League and didn’t make any cuts for the WSOB. Butturff’s ball roll didn’t look fantastic during most of the WSOB even though he made one show. Edge: Jones.
