This is one of the most anticipated matchups of the first round of the PBA Playoffs as two players who are the future of the PBA Tour will face off.

Johnson has had a pretty consistent season with six finishes inside the Top 25, including his third-place finish at the PBA Jonesboro Open. Everyone always says it’s only a matter of time before Johnson gets his first title. Maybe this is the event?

Sherman has had an equally steady season but he hasn’t made any shows. His best finish came at the PBA Oklahoma Open, where he was ninth. He also finished a solid 10th at the PBA Tournament of Champions.

Who has the edge? Based on overall performance this season and talent, on paper this should be a very even match. Johnson, however, looked incredible during the PBA League. For that reason, the edge goes to him.
