This is another big matchup of rising PBA Tour stars and both of them have made television appearances this season.

Tang kicked off the season by finishing second at the PBA Hall of Fame Classic, 12th at the PBA Oklahoma Open and 10th at the PBA Jonesboro Open in January. After that, he didn’t find the Top 10 again until the PBA World Championship in March.

However, when the World Series of Bowling resumed two weeks ago, Tang was able to make the show at the Cheetah and Scorpion, finishing fourth and third respectively. It was a good run for Tang but the quest for his first title continues.

Pate made the show at the PBA Indianapolis Open and finished third but arguably his best performance came when he finished sixth at the PBA Players Championship, which is a major. Without that finish, he wouldn’t be here.

Who has the edge? Both of these guys have an insatiable thirst to get their first title. Tang, however, has looked really good at Bowlero Centreville and the edge goes to him especially if he can execute.
