Simply put, it’s been a spectacular year for Belmonte as he easily earned the No. 1 seed for the PBA Playoffs.

Belmonte has finished in the top 10 in 10 of the 12 events in competed in this season. Among those finishes are wins at the U.S. Open, PBA World Championship and PBA Chameleon Championship.

Butturff is coming off a hard-fought win over Tommy Jones in the opening round of the Playoffs in which he struck out in the final frame to win by one.

Who has the edge? On the surface you might say Butturff has some momentum after that huge win against Jones. Not so fast my friend. Belmonte easily has the edge in this match and it would be a massive upset if he lost.
