It may not seem like it but it’s been over a year since Tackett has won a title on the PBA Tour. But his No. 3 ranking in the Playoffs is a reminder that he’s still one of the best out there.

Tackett has come close this year to getting another title. He has had three second-place finishes – the PBA Players Championship, the PBA Doubles Championship and the PBA Cheetah Championship.

For Smallwood, this match will continue his learning process with Motiv equipment after he knocked off Chris Barnes, 215-180, in the Round of 24

Who has the edge? As Smallwood continues to get comfortable with his new Motiv stuff, there is no one more comfortable with Motiv than Tackett. Combine that with Tackett’s immense talent and he’s got the edge in this one.
