2019 Season

Kyle Troup’s 2019 had him excruciatingly close to titles several times – seven top 10s, two third-place finishes (including the Players Championship) among four appearances in televised finals – but he wasn’t able to win a title for just the second time since he began bowling full time on Tour. Still, Troup was a vital part of the Elias Cup Champion Portland Lumberjacks and was less than $400 away from the most he’s ever earned in a PBA Tour season.

2020 Outlook

Everyone from die-hard bowling fans (most of them, anyway) to casual sports fans want to see Troup on television, but no one wants it more than Troup himself. His quick-start momentum this year was derailed by a hand injury in February, but barring a similar fluke of misfortune next year, Troup should find himself on TV early and often as he seeks his fourth PBA Tour title. Troup’s 2018 and 2019 stats are almost identical – 16 cashes, seven match-play appearances and just under $75,000 in earnings. Troup will eclipse all those numbers in 2020.
